Having an efficient Solid Waste Management means that there has to be an effective operational program that should take place. Herein, I will be discussing some of the Operational Codes and Management programs that I have researched and included in the project - The National Ecology Center.
First, the systematic operational process should start with looking for the objectives of the project. All of these objectives should be anchored with Solid Waste Management plans, which includes; considerations of occupancy designations, construction waste and the objectives on business matters. Second, considering the Design of the proposed facility. This includes the programs that are possible for the proposal. Herein, I have considered 7 programs that relates to my body of study; Waste Avoidance, Reduction, Reuse, Recycling, Upcycling, Recovery and Treatment. Considerations for the Materials, Specifications, the Behavior of the users. Technology and Waste Management Plan are also on this phase. The third phase is all about Construction, or the actual construct of the Training of the users, the logistics, and the more. This includes the actual Solid Waste Management operations such as Waste Hauling and putting the waste on the staging area. Proper scheduling system shall also be prepared well. The fourth phase is Occupancy, which pertains to the culture of the users inside the National Ecology Center. It is important to know the Waste Management programs, equally as the Training programs for the tenants and other mutual users who are using the development. Lastly, the O&M or the Operations and Management, wherein, there should be a consideration which should directly affect the productivity of the tenants and other users. The costs which circulates the programs, as well as the plans that shall be implemented before and after the development.
Furthermore, the National Ecology Center isn’t just a collection of different buildings, but a synergy of different programs. These programs are driven by the existing Operational Laws that makes the project functional and effective at the same time.
