The National Ecology Center, per say, has a number of building typologies that lies on its programs; educational, industrial and other related types. These typologies are combined together to produce a new typology. Having this consideration, I have focuses on the typology with the biggest program as a focus on Specialized Law.
First, I look on the related codes similar to Material Recovery Facilities - these codes are not primarily technical, but rather objectives and considerations. Having said, a Material Recovery Facility shall be well segregated, hence, rubbish such as glass, cartons, papers, plastics and metals. These materials will later be collected, and then segregated once again for recycling purposes. The typical MRFs are isolated and compacted on a place that is not visible to the community or the users of any particular development. I like the idea of garbage isolation to the users, but having the idea of Waste Awareness, I should let the people see and experience what the garbage is, and how can we learn from it. So, I broke down the isolation idea of MRF, and let the people see these trash, and even be able to experience the actual segregation.
Second, the coon barangay Material recovery Facilities should be at least 12 sqm. In floor are to cater the daily waste discharge of its barangay. However, the provided MRFs in each barangay were usually smaller than the ideal ones. Hence, it makes the waste disposal a lot more insufficient. The National Ecology Center shall analyse potential solutions on  this common waste problem. Third, there’s is an Institutional program that the NEC caters - which is the TESDA Building. Wherein, there should be at least 2.70m floor to ceiling height to allow passive ventilation and stack ventilation (if possible) on its floor levels.
In general, these difficulties faced by different typologies can not thoroughly solved by a single building type. So, a combination of seemingly different concepts merged into one can primarily solve the combination of all.
