The Proposed National Ecology Center is under the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act, which supports one of the main objective of the Green Building Code - Proper Solid Waste Management.
I remember as I conduct the initial studies of my research, the Philippine Green Building Code herein called as GBC always appear as one of the prime considerations that has to be included on the research process. It says that the parameters given by the said code will further utilize and tackle several necessities that are complementary to the project typology.
The PH GBC is a anchors the LEED or the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design which is an International Certification by which guarantees that a certain building or development is Green. Also, we do have a local version of Green certification called as BERDE or Building For Ecologically Responsive Design Excellence. A local green metrics which lets a project and the public know that the project is a better building in the market. The third-party assessment ensures that the project are assessed, rated, and certified in a credible and unbiased process. (BERDE, 2018)
I must say that considering Philippine Green Building code shall be one of my priorities upon planning and designing the spaces of my development. This will surely develop the beauty, as well as the systems that will make the project sustainable and livable. In addition, Green Building Code will give lots of parameters that are essential to the field of expertise I am willing to study and apply not just to my research book, but to reflect on my design translations. I really like how a building can be Green, on its functions, as well as on its use and looks.
In conclusion, it would be ironic if I will not consider a Green parameter on a development that showcases Green Sustainability. Hence, a good utilization of the existing considerations of the said code will truly show that a good architecture is also a good system. A good architecture is a nature
